US and Russian Satellites Collided

US and Russian Satellites Collided at space resulting in first Satellite collission in space.
This insident happened on Tuesday.

American telecommuniction company Iridium 's Satellite and Russian defunct satellite collided over Siberia(780 km above).

This resulted in a small cloud in space formed by damaged satellite components .

This is the first time two satellites are colliding with each other.

US Space agency NASA is studying about the consiqunces and damages due to this satellite collission.

Iridium Satellite was launched on 1997 for telecommunication and its weight is 560 kg.

The Russian Satellites name is Cosmos 2251 which was launced on 1993.
