Railway Budget - Interim Budget 2009

Indian Railway Budget was presented by Lalu Prasad Yadav ( Railway Minister ) on Parliament on 13 February 2009.


Railway Interim Budget says that the passenger fairs will be slashed by 2 % .


Passenger Charges for AC and Mail Express will also be reduced by 2 % .


So Reduction in Train fairs is specified in the Budget.


There is also anouncement of 43 new trains in Indian Railways.


Feasability study of 7 bullet trains will be also conducted.

The Reduction of Train Rates will be benificial for common people.


Political Leaders of Kerala says that Railway Budget ignored Kerala.
