India got 2nd Rank in ICC ODI Ranking

India got 2nd Rank in ICC ODI Ranking by defeting Sri Lanka at India vs Sri Lanka ODI Colombo 2009 . Team India got 2 nd Rank by pushing Australia to 3 rd Rank . Australia was the No 2 Ranked team in ICC ODI Ranking. But by winning Colombo ODI the ICC Ranking of India raise to Second Rank.



Australia was defeated by New Zealand for 6 wickets at Australia vs New Zealand 2nd ODI Melbourne .
So the points of Team Australia went down resulting in decrease of ODI Rank.


India Scored 4-0 lead in India vs Sri Lanka ODI Colombo . This also caused the raising of Rank of India . India also won 9 consicutive matches and emerges as a top cricket Team in the world.



The Team Captain MS Dhoni and all other Team Players was in great Form at India vs Sri Lanka ODI . Even though Muttiah Muralidharan got 503 wickets , Indian players like Gaudham Ghambir and Yuvaraj Singh Scored Centuries.
