Longest day in Southern hemisphere

21st December of every year is considered as the longest day in Southern hemisphere. This is because the Southern hemisphere will be close to the sun during this period of time.

We have noticed that on some months sun sets so early comparing to other months. Such months the day length will be short.

Some people going for work dont like short days as they will only get a little time to work. But students will be very happy because they can leave to home early from Tuition classes.

21st June is considered as the shortest day in Southern hemisphere.

Eg : Longest day in Southern hemisphere on 2009 - 21st December 2009.

Shortest day in Southern hemisphere on 2009 - 21st June 2009.
