Lunar eclipse is a process in which earth cuts off light falling on the moon.

During Lunar eclipse Sun, Earth and the Moon falls on the same line. The earth comes in between sun and moon.

As all of us knows that moon dosn't have any light of its own and it shines with the light from the sun.

So when earth breaks light falling on the moon, the results is darkness on the moon. This phenomenon is known as Lunar eclipse.

Next lunar eclipse of this year will be on 31/12/2009.
