Medical Transcription (MT) is the process of Transcribing audio files into text files. This process needs training and coaching. This can be done by online Medical Transcription Training and by offline.
Some people does home based medical Transcription job. To do home based job, they will study how to become transcriptionist with help of some study materials and tutorials (notes, e-books and pdf).
The same contents can be studied from online medical transcription training. There are some websites which provive online tuitions for MT. They will also charge some low fees.
MT is a good field for housewifes and for ladies. They can earn money by doing MT as a part time job or full time job.
For becoming a good transcriptionist you should have good typing speed, ie keyboard skill. You should type without looking into keyboard. The second thing you should study is medical terminology and human body parts.

What is Medical Transcription ?
Medical Transcription is the process of Converting Voice into Text . The Voice is of a doctor who dictates diseases , medicines and remedies.
In US and UK and in other countries there are Health care Insurence companies which pays the doctor for treating a patient. So he has to submit a report of how many people he have treated and what all medicines he has priscribed for getting a payment.
As the doctor has no time to document (create a word file) he will record the dictations as an audio file.
There comes Medical Transcription . The Medical Transcriptionist (Person who transcribes) converts this voice to text and submits this document to the doctor.
He will submit this document to Health care Insurence companies and gets his payments.
Medical transcription is a BPO Job (Business Process Outsourcing) which is outsources by developed countries to developing countries.
As the expence for Medical Trancription is high in Developed Countries they will send this audio files to developing countries . There they have to pay only cheap rates to Medical Transcriptionist. So the developing countries will decode the voice to text and send Text files Back.
Some people or Howsewifes are doing homebased Medical Transcription Jobs while there are some BPO companies which do the same Job.
There is a vast scope for Medical Transcription in future , because everyday everytime there will be patients..
